Question ??finances and various visa's

Hi,

sorry i am new here and tried looking up various visas to check if a move to Western Australia is a viable option.

I am a paediatric nurse/public health/school nurse and would be looking to secure employment as a community nurse, however on the 457 visa it asks about 'financial requirements' which for me, hubby and 2 children is in the region of £30,000-£40,000 english pounds.

Is this steep 'financial requirement' true of all visa's??, as i am planning to secure a job before actually coming out to Australia and although will need some initial set up costs wouldn't be in this region.

Anyone know which visa's i could apply for that dont necessarily need this amount of financial assets??

Employer sponsorship?? (Im sooo confused) And this is a massive element in decisions to see if a move is viable.

Please advise x Thanks

I am not aware of any "financial requirements" for the 457 visa. Other than there is a minimum salary requirement.

I'm sooo confused I'm sure I read that to get the visa I needed to have 15000 per adult and about 5000 per dependant thatvone of the reasons why I dont know if working in Australia would be viable.

If I obtained a job before moving as a community nurse to Western Australia dies any one know what visa me and my family should apply for??? I've tried researching the different ones but I'm non the wiser :-s

What you mention sounds like a state sponsorship requirement, but if you read about the visas one at a time on www.immi.gov.au you will quite clearly see that this is nothing to do with the 457 visa that you first mentioned.

It is up to you what visa you apply for, if it were me and I wanted to move permanently then I would go straight for a permanent visa, not the 457, which is a temporary visa and ties you to your employer. The permanent visas are the skilled migrant visas, 175, 176 and 475.

I agree with BS - it sounds like state sponsorship requirements. There's nothing about that on the 457 page.
