Change of List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment
Woke up to this email this morning, just when we thought we were getting somewhere this happens
On 26 September 2011, the List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment (Appendix 3) and the list of Qualifications Recognised as an Exception (Appendix 8) will be updated.
List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment (Appendix 3)
The following country lists in Appendix 3 will be updated:
Argentina
Belgium
Hong Kong
Hungary
India
Japan
Romania
South Africa
Sri Lanka
Switzerland
United Kingdom, and
Zimbabwe.
Qualifications Recognised as an Exception (Appendix 8)
The country lists for South Africa and the United Kingdom in Appendix 8 and the country lists for India, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will be removed in their entirety.
If you claimed points for a qualification on one of the updated country lists in Appendix 3 or 8 these changes may affect your EOI.
Changes
The changes to country lists may include:
addition and removal of qualifications,
changes to the level of qualifications,
addition and removal of institutions, and
updates to awarding dates.
What you need to do
If you have claimed points for a qualification on one of the updated country lists in Appendix 3 or 8, please check the new list in Amendment Circular 2011-15.
If your EOI is affected by the changes to Appendix 3 or Appendix 8, you are required to update your EOI to reflect the updated list effective from on or after 26 September 2011.
Please note, you may need to obtain an International Qualification Assessment from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority if your qualification:
is removed,
was not obtained within the relevant awarding dates specified on the list, or
is from an institution which is no longer on the list.

We know, we woke up to this bit of s**t too.
we dont quite know what to do,
and our qualification has suddenly dissapeared off the list entirely...... WTF
any one else suffering?
We may just about be able to submit our ITA by the deadline......

so annoying as they really do need to give more warning, if we don't get a job offer b4 26th we will lose points and go under the 100 points. only been in the pool for 5 weeks and seriously would not of applied to go into pool and paid out if we knew we would lose points 8weeks in. They should make it that anyone applying before that date work on the old system.

Yeah I,m a bit confused too.HNC in Computing but cant find it also SVQ Health and Social care for my wife.Can anyone see those in there please?
If they are gone do you need to have the ITA submitted or just selected before 26th???This is going to wipe out many EOI,s I reckon.

I believe There won't be any major changes in the List of Qualifications.
why are you thinking that the announcement will be retroactive?

rung NZ house and was told if you are pulled from pool before 26th Sept then all is ok but points maybe deducted after the 26th if they do not appear on list any more.

Why are you guys so worried about the changes coming up in List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment? Ain't you guys got the Bachelors/Masters Degree to claim the adequate points?

I havent seen the latest updated list of countries. or it might be updated in September. fychan66, you got the link from where you got the news? If India, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka is removed, then there should be 3 other countries make their ways into the new list.

That means
Appendix-3 that was announced on 29/11/2010 and still effective all countries will remain yet some country lists will be updated.
