What a place! Absolutely wonderful!
After visiting 20 years ago I returned late July and although the place was virtually unrecognisable, I loved it.
Cabanas with its new wooden 'paseo' has definately been transformed and I thought in a positive way.
We spent a lot of time in Tavira and I loved the place, one of the nicest places ive visited.
The scenery around the area is breathtaking, some of the beaches are wonderful.
Pego de Inferno was fantastic and a must visit for everyone.
Downside - Too busy August, if we went out after 7.30 in the evening it was virtually immpossible to get a table to eat in Cabanas? We often drove to Tavira to eat.
We also found that some of the waitresses were quite rude in Cabanas, (this was in quite a number of establishments) whether it was because they were too busy I dont know? We never had any problem with male waiters?
Overall though brilliant place and we will be visiting again soon but earlier or later in the year, too blinking busy and hot in August.
