Default Removals firm for small load

We are expecting to complete on our apartment in December and although we will buy most of our furniture in the Algarve/Spain we do want to send out a few boxes of stuff from the UK. Anyone got the names of reliable, efficient but quite cheap transporters?

Also is furniture cheaper in Spain?

I´d always recommend Neil & Emily - +351 939486870/807, they moved my few boxes and were brilliant. Have a look at tavira auction if you want to pick up the odd piece of furniture, they also supply new stuff (full packages or piece by piece) +351 916138059

Thanks for the info - I assume the auction does not have a website? Difficult to plan from the UK without.

I would always use direct transport, if its enough for them to pick up they will do if not you get it to their depot in Andover and they will bring over for pick up in the Algarve. They charge depending on size of the item.

If you look at the AlgarveExpats website there is usually a listing for the auction on there the day before.

Hi Guys, have you found anybody yet to move your boxes from the uk? We have just completed on our house in Portugal and purchased all our furniture from Ikea, in England we we live. I have my own large van so transported it over myself. Found the furniture packs in Portugal/Spain too expensive.

Just started own buisness doing transport to and from Portugal as so many people have found the same about buying furniture aboard.

I collect from the UK and deliver to any part of Portugal within 7 days.

Hope this has been useful,

Hi, I offer a service which collects from your uk home and transports to your property in portugal, i build and put together all items of furniture as part of the job if required. My rates are far cheaper than large haulage companys, which do not offer the "build" service.
Thanks
