Well thats it we have reached year four and looking forward to our fifth winter. We have all applied for citizenship and received the confirmation letter that they should be ready in the next 12-15 months. (One of our major goals achieved)
The girls are settled at last, Gemma is in University of NB studying Arts and Kathryn is moving into her first home at the age of 22 (She has a mortgage and now owns a mini home which she plans to flip in 2 years).
Jules is well on the way to being a local artisan of high quality fashion items and is getting repeat customers at her booth in the Christmas Craft fair. I have settled into a career as a civil serpent (as my daughter's call it)a Project Director with the Government of New Brunswick(something I probably wouldnt get in the UK, because I didnt go to the right university).
Year 5 should be our final settling in year with finances improving and citizenship
My advice to others is stay focused on what you want and fight through the new immigrant wobbles. Good luck to you all
