Thumbs up My 32nd Anniversary

I have been here in Canada 32 years ,I live in Toronto (most Torontonians are from Toronto first not Canada !! that`s why we are not liked by the rest of them) but it is still not my home . I could never live in the U.K. but still think of it as "Back Ome" I have 2 grown kids a son who is 40 living in South Africa, married with 3 children. He met his wife while traveling from country to country at the age of 20, and a daughter who is 38 living in Iceland with 2 children, so we are quite spit up !! My first wife and I divorced 30 years ago , I had our son and she had our daughter. I have since re-married and now have 2 more children to girls 13 and 15 , they are real Canadians .
I still use my British passport , I refuse to be a Canadian ( all 4 of my kids are Canadian citizens ) every time we go to the States I hold up the family by getting dragged off by the U.S. immigration at the boarder , finger printed , photo taken, and umpteen questions about why I am not a Canadian Citizen . I always get in after all the questions and back ground checks.
Here in Canada everyone can be who they want, it really is a big melting pot if you want to melt ; or like me stay who you are, "A Proud Englishman Living in Canada "

Hi Peter - congratulations on your milestone Canniversary ... we moved here three and a bit years ago from Poole and haven't looked back. Miss the sea occasionally but we make annual pilgrimages to Vancouver Island to get our fix.

Here's to many more happy years! J

Hey. Room for one more?

I'm Bournemouth born and bred. Spent 50 years there before emigrating to New Zealand. It will always be the place I call home .

I remember those Merley Bird Gardens & I've spent many a happy afternoon walking through the Chines & down the zigzags to the beach .
