Default Copywriter moving to Chile

Hello

I am a creative copywriter working in the advertising industry in London. I am planning on emigrating to Santiago next year, and I was wondering if anyone would be able to point me in the right direction please regarding finding work in Chile's ad industry. I am not a Spanish speaker, but am hoping that there are international firms which would be interested in my mono-lingual expertise.

Thanks for the help.

Chile over the last decade has probably been the boom economy of Latin America despite the slow down in the current economic climate. Central to northern Santiago is where most multi nationals and foreign businesses are based and its probably one of the best locations to work in South America.

I think you will have big problems though, if you don`t have a decent level of Spanish but as you say, there may well be international firms willing just to employ English speakers if they have the skills that are required.

Chilean society is extremely mono-cultural and probably one of the most closed in all South America, therefore Spanish is essential I believe to any foreigner that intends to work and reside there.
