C4 - A new life down under
Hi there - Just found this on the C4 website and not sure if this has already been shown or if it is for this coming July. Anybody know please because I did watch the original series with these people in it.
A NEW LIFE DOWN UNDER: ONE YEAR ON
Thursday 22 July, 8pm
Every year, thousands of Britons move to Australia in search of a new life in sunnier climes. But at over 11,000 miles it's a big step to take and a long way to leave friends and family behind.
In Channel 4’s A New Life Down Under, cameras followed families as they set up home in Australia. Some adapted more successfully than others, but each had their own unique problems.
But how have they fared since? This one-off programme reveals how three of the families are settling into the Australian way of life, and reflects on their experiences over the last 15 months.
We catch up with Lorraine Singleton from Blackpool, who always dreamt of a life in the sun; the Skeggs family, who moved to Perth without ever having visited the country; and Rachel Russell, whose new life on the Gold Coast was threatened by money worries.

In the Australia paper they have done an update on the Warner family who moved to Adelaide from Oxfordshire and was on this years Wanted Down Under programme.
Is the Russell family the mom with two children, she was a fitness instructor and her partner Michael I think his name was, who came back to England

She lives on the gold coast now and posted on here in her own defense after some very nasty comments about her and her family. Suffice to say the programme was heavily edited and he was hadrly an angel prior to filming!!!
I personally think if you arent whiter than white you must have rocks in your head to be filmed for that length of time.... asking for trouble, which it seems most of them got!!!
The welsh couple post on here too and are still happy in Melbourne by all accounts....
Also the Skeggs are still in Perth I think...
