Question SW > BUNAC > AEO ?

Hi again everyone

I'd like some advice please. I'm currenty on a BUNAC visa here in Ontario, got 7 months remaining. I have a SW PR application in process since Nov 2005 at London.

I've landed an IT Analyst job with the Ontario Government, currently working on a contract and they would like to offer me a permanent position. They are happy to help in any way to to make me a permanent resident.

It would be ideal if my PR app was complete before my BUNAC visa expired . What is my best option? Arranged Employment Opinion? Would my application be speeded up? I'm not sure i'd qualify for LMO, they advertised my position for about 1 month, had 200 applicants and I was selected.

Thanks guys, sorry to waffle

Kelly

You don't need any AEO. All you need is an offer to convert your current temporary employment to a permanent, full time position (not a contractor) on indeterminate basis after you become a PR. Submit this letter together with proof of working (few weeks worth of payslips will do) for said employer, updated forms and other evidence that should be updated and ask for expedited processing of your PR application as one with arranged employment now.

Might I timorously ask, is that right? The poster is here on a BUNAC, has only applied for WP.

Thanks Andrew. Is it ok to do this on a BUNAC visa? I read through your 2 page AE pdf on another post and it states 'the work permit is valid at the time
of the permanent resident visa application and at the time the visa is issued'. I got my BUNAC visa in May 07 will this cause a problem?

Which category does BUNAC visa fall into on the pdf?

It's great news if I can do this, seems too good to be true actually. Would I be able to claim 10/15 points too?

Thanks

Kellly

My employer would like to get the letter done for me today, so that's good.

Is there any website or legislation where I can look this kind of situation up? Just want to make sure I'm advising him the right way.

Thanks

Kelly
