initial green card interview

I have an initial green card interview, with my wife present. She is
American and is the sponsor.
I'm in the USA on a L1B visa currently. The question is we have only
been married for about 6 months,
but the assets are almost all in my name. She is a student and did
not come into the marriage with
any assets. I essentially support her financial needs. We share a
credit card and I give her a cheque
every now and then when she needs money in her bank account. I pay
the mortage, all the bills,
and the house is in my name. I have a life insurance policy that has
her and the beneficiary and
we file our income taxes together. She is also a joint user of one of
my credit cards. She changed
her last name to mine. Is this good enough to get the green card or
do we have to share assets ?
We have known each other for over 3 years and have letters dating back
that far between us. We
were married at a big ceremony and all. My only concern is that I
have most of the assets in my
name. I am hoping this is not a red flag.
Thanks.
Steve.

You have whatever you have. Bring all the evidence you have to the interview. If the officer needs anything more, he/she will let you know. Many people do not share finances, so your insurance documents, tax returns, and joint credit card are good evidence. Anything else you can come up with would be good...mail addressed to both of you at your address, joint memberships in any clubs, is she a dependent on your health insurance, photos of you together...that sort of thing.
Best Wishes,
Rene
