Default Aussie expressions which really get on my goat ... ADULTS ONLY

"F***ing Oath mate ..."

or

"Nah, yeah, nah, yeah ... nah ... yeah"

Off topic ...

Funniest metaphor of the weekend ...

"M!nge like a Hippo's yawn ..."

Anyone have any others?

You know the ones:

"Lazier than a Mexican Village" ... "Flatter than a Wiches t!t" and suchlike.

The only one that bothers me a bit is when they add "but" to the end of the sentence, not in the middle of it, or just adding it on the end for the sake of it.

So instead of:

"The sun is out but isnt it warm in here?"

it's

"The sun is out and it's warm in here but"

or just

"It's warm in here but"

You heard the man ...

Keep it clean.

We can also introduce Management slang into this thread as I heard an absolute belter in a meeting yesterday ...

When referring to a bullet point checklist, this whopper spouts ...

"This element of the work has been completed now so that's another cab off the rank"

Aghhhhhh ... give me strength.

I had to go to a shop to get quotes for computer stuff when we were burgled, the girl was writing down figures etc and I mentioned about what a pain in the neck it was bearing in mind the insurance company would give us what they wanted anyway. Her reply? "Too easy!" WTF? I look confused and she smiled - hey ho - different country, different language We didn't get the stuff from them anyway so............................"It's all good!!"
