Default US Citizenship test

Hi,does anyone know how many questions they actually ask you during the
test? I know that there are like a hundred questions which you have to learn
the answers to,but how many do they actually ask? Is it just a few at
random,or do they want you to answer them all?

thanks

Hi Me,It just depends on the person interviewing you,He/She can just about ask you anything they want to.When i had my interview in Norfolk Virginia he only asked me to name the three branches of the Government and what they do.My wife on the other hand had her interview in Phoenix AZ and was asked around twenty questions.Good Luck with your interview,Brian.

Hi:

Had a natz interview last week in Los Angeles. They gave client a list of ten questions to answer in writing. She got 9 right. No problem. I've seen instances where if a person misses 4 of the ten, they simply ask some more to get up the percentage of correct answers to 70%.

BTW, my experience with naturalization applications is that most DAO's recognize that applicants are nervous as they can be but WANT them to pass. I'm not kidding. Please note the "most" in the preceding sentence. The immediate past Commissioner of CIS personally experienced a situation where he and his wife took their natz interviews on the same day in the same office -- one was smooth as could be and the other had the DAO from Hell.

The OP's name reminds me of a payphone conversation I once overheard.

<handset lifted and number dialled>
Caller - "Hi, is that you"
<pause, I presume recipient of call now speaking>
Caller - "No, its me"

You know that some parents are just p!ssing in the gene pool . . .
