Competent ?
#1
Hi all.
I am currently in process of getting all my bits together to send to QNC - my first step - am very excited!
Anyway, it says that you must send proof of nursing competence for past 5 years, and this must be signed by a registered nurse. I currently work as a specialist nurse and my direct line manager is a consultant neurologist. The only other sort of manager I have is purely of admin. background.
Would a reference from any of them be acceptable? I did email the QNC but got a standard reply which was really no use.
I really don't want to come to a standstill before I have even really started.
Really grateful for any advice

Does it have to be from one of your seniors? Maybe another nurse in your team or an equivalent grade could do it?

The trouble is that there are no other nurses in our team and as we are very small and as we really work in isolation, there aren't really any other nurses that I know well enough to ask.
It does also state it should be from a nurse supervisor or manager.
Thanks for your suggestion though

I have just read something along the same lines, so think I probably need to start again.
Should I just start with the ANMC instead?
