Default Affidavits for I-751

Does the optional affidavit mentioned in the I-751 (petition to remove
conditions on residence), need to be signed by a notary official? I
assumed it does, but it doesn't state so on the paper.

Also, what have written in the affidavit(that has not been mentioned on
the I-751 form)?

Hi:

By definition, an "affidavit" must have a notarial "jurat" on it. However, the law also allows for substitution of a "declaration under penalty of perjury" in lieu of an affidavit. You just have to use the "magic words" for such a declaration.

hm..i'm not sure what faq you are talking about, can you please post a
link?
I did a search and found this one:
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?pg=751guide
But in this sample letter it says you DO need to have the affidavit
notarized.
