Default My citizenship application at Toronto Citizenship court (St. Clair)

Dear Experts and fellow applicants,

I am in the process of applying for Canadian Citizenship. My current
timeline is as follows.

Landed: April 2 1999 (Chinese citizen)
Application for Citizenship sent: December 12 2002
Application received: December 16 2002
Wrote citizenship test (Toronto Citizenship Court, 55 St. Clair): July
17 2002

My current problem is that I have still not received the Notice to
Appear for taking the Oath of Citizenship. I was wondering if there
are any fellow applicants in this newsgroup or any experts who are
aware of the current timeline from test to citizenship ceremony at the
Toronto St. Clair location. If you have recently taken the test or
the oath, I would appreciate it greatly if you can share your
experiences.

I have called CIC Call centre, and they encourage me to call again
after December 16 2003, which is one year of processing my
application. However, my problem is that I have not applied for the
Permanent Resident Card (for prospects of my citizenship application,
I never thought it would be this long after the test). I do need to
travel to outside of Canada though, after December 30 2003, the
earliest trip is January 21 2003. I am very anxious about my
application, so much that I am currently considering to apply for the
PR card, even if it takes 90 days of processing, since it's just $50
and some time spent running errands.

From previous posts, I realize that the processing times are very case
dependent. However, the CIC call centre informed me that "my
application is ready for the oath", and that it's just waiting for the
actual scheduling of the ceremony. I assume that means that all other
requirements are satisfied, but I am not sure how accurate this
information is.

Again, I appreciate any assistance in my situation.

Thanks,
Li

I am sorry for my typos: I mean that I wrote the citizenship test on
July 17 2003, and my earliest upcoming trip that I worry about is on
January 21 2004.

Thanks,
Li
