Will you give up your "Skinny jeans"
#1
We are now in the process of thinning down our possessions, ready for the big pack
Now I am looking at several items of clothing that I havn't been able to wear for a while
. You know the ones, the ones that if you lost a few pounds that youd be able to get into.
The big one for me is my old leather motorcycle jacket.
Its a dilema cos I know I am going to live a more outdoor life so will hopefully be getting a bit fitter.
So what "skinnies" will you be taking and which will you leave.

Keep the jacket! My dad had his old one from the 60s and looked quite sweet in it, though we teased him rotten. I think I'll keep my skinny things, but will have to lose some weight as I've been eating loads since applying (must be nerves).

I had a massive sale before I went to Aussie the first time as I had a feeling I wasn't going to be coming back...paying off now..I took my car to the boot sale and made a fortune - paid off my credit card debt - all my stuff was very salable so people were buzzing around my boot like flies round Sh*t.
sold my entire video collection - all my unwanted books save for a few - just have 6 crates of sentimental stuff - happy days
I've had the same waist size since I was 16 so all my trousers still fit..

well i packed the contents of my wardrobe last weekend as with my preggie gut i cant get into anything normal anyway, i filled a whole case with stuff i have never worn, all bought with the i'll lose i few pounds idea.
Now this afternoon i have been sifting through old photos and cont believe how we have both let ourselves go in the last 6 years, i look at least 10 years older and am at least 3 stone heavier and John i suspect is much the same, so i have spent the last 2 hours in tears with the kids saying its ok mum, mums are meant to be fat.
So yes i am taking my skinny clothes and as soon as this sprog is out of my belly i am going to seriously make a huge effort to fit into them, oh plastic surgery would help too.

it will be a good excuse to get rid of all that stuff that has been hanging around the house for years, clothes and all the other stuff we seem to of gathered over the years.

yip keep the jacket seeing as you're going to Melbourne.. you'll need it for the winters there, and if you can not bare to part with it... keep it!. As for the rest of the clothes... get rid of all the stuff you don't wear. I'm a fine one to talk .. I'm a "hoarder"! I have an old jumper which is about 14 or 15 years old!!! full of holes and it's so thin with wear.. but I can't seem chuck it, I've tried a couple of times... but I keep digging it out of the rubbish bags..lol... it's so comfortable for around the house. It's like a pair of old slippers to me. comfort! I'll probably be buried in it!

Getting trousers from my 20-something days up past the knees is impossible - waist is definitely out of the question. Liposuction is probably my only hope now
Foodie and diet just don't go together.
Somehow removing large baby did not reduce my weight - a scientific impossibility surely???
Badgers - have you hit 30 yet? It seems everything you eat after 30 arranges itself around your middle like a smorgasbord. Plus you're just about to get hitched so that single man = slim and gym toned thing may be on the way out for you too.
But you'll be happy and married men statistically live way longer than single men, despite their spare tyres.
HUP - take the jacket - Leah will wear it in her teens and impress her friends that's it's 'authentic vintage' garb from last century. Then you'll really feel old...

I guess I'm lucky in that all my old clothes still fit me. So far I've been hoarding them away hoping desperately that one day they'll come back into fashion. I dont know - somehow I can't see fashion designers making the same mistake with enormous shoulder pads - yet I still have difficulty in getting rid of them. I was so chuffed when I bought those outfits in the 80s.
Anybody else hoarding fashion disasters?

I've seen enough leg warmers lately to think it's worth hanging on to the Dynasty-style suits with shoulder pads from my 'corporate' phase.
Fashion disaster for sure though...
