Re: Wife Settlement Visa Update & details of application
Thanks for the advice, I am sure changes will happen again before I apply! We still have not sold our house and have had very few viewings, it is like it has completely dried up! So no rush from me.
I apply from Canada and will do priority for sure!

Yeah, we put our VA house on the market a month ago - not a single call or visit yet!! Very dried up.

So sorry to hear this, Nigel.
Hope something happens in the market soon--or rather, that the one buyer who will love just what your house to offer appears on the scene! You only need one...

Re: Wife Settlement Visa Update & details of application
Am I right in thinking if you don't send your original passport the copy needs to be notarized by a solicitor???
I am not sending my original passport (I am the UKC, spouse is the USC and of course he is sending his current and previous originals) as the guide to supporting docs says a copy is ok--I'm sending a colour copy.
Anyway--just to say I am going back to reactivate the thread I started (asking about priority processing) and will document our application there, if anyone's interested. We are in the throes of it now--biometrics tomorrow!
Tho I may not be as detailed as Nigel kindly was....[/QUOTE]

Some people have had the copy notarized, I don't know where they found the instruction to do that.
I didn't do it.
I am the UKC and sent a colour copy, un-notarized, of my current passport).
We did get the visa.
But if it isn't too much trouble for you, having it notarized can't hurt.
