FSW Application update
Hi,
Currently I’ am in the process of updating my application by adding my newborn baby to the application, and I have prepared all of the required documents and forms
After I sent my application for the first time (my timeline below), my brother got a PR visa (April, 2011) and landed in Canada (October, 2011), however he still didn’t move to live in Canada till now.
As I’ am going to send out these updates to the Visa officer; is it worth to mention that I have a brother who holds Canadian PR (I can send a copy of the PR visa, Copy of his landing information & copy of his birth certificate), given that I already have enough point s (70 points).
I thought this could be helpful, or give more consideration to my application…
On the other hand; I’ am afraid that might fatherly delay my application as Visa Officer could request more information to make sure that my brother lives in Canada.
Please advise…
Ahmad

Having a brother actually physically in Canada helps. But if your brother does not live and work there it is not important.

I will not claim points under this factor (I already have enough); however I' am asking if this could give my application a push or more priority processing?

Having a family member resident in Canada did give me 5 extra points for 'adaptability' as they call it.
I feel I should also get 'hanging on in there' points as we fast approach double the originally projected average processing time.
One lives in hope!

Relatives in Canada only help with points not processing speed.
