Default Recommendations for dental treatment in Singapore, Thailand or Malaysia

We are in Australia and OH has just had a quote for dental work, including bridges for around $10,000. As we are pensioners on UK pensions, obviously this is out of the question.

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations regarding getting major dental work done in Singapore or maybe Thailand or Malaysia, We are particularly interested in Singapore as we may travel there in the future to meet friends.

You may want to post in the Singapore forum for dentists there.

Re Penang, Malaysia, I have quite a few retired Aussie friends who split their time between Penang and Malaysia, and they all use (and so do I) KK Ong dentists. It is a fraction of the cost of Aus dentists. Think you should be able to find a website for them if you google.

Singapore dentists are also good but you'll find they are about double that of Malaysian dentists. Mind you, still cheap compared with Aus.

Re Thailand, there's an existing topic already in the Thailand section, as someone else was thinking of doing the same.

Oh there are lots of cheap flights daily between Singapore and Penang, so may be worth a diversion and Penang is a nice place. Well I would say that, wouldn't i. You can check out flights online for Jetstar and Air Asia. Tiger also flies but they are a bit of a crappy airline IMHO. Silk air also flies but a bit pricey (it's part of Singapore Airlines).
