Ok... Last night being "date night" we go and pick up some dvds from video easy, get a chinese takeaway and lock ourselves in our bedroom for a movie marathon....

Left the dvd selection to HIM... Coz everyone I picked up was apparently a new to rental costs an arm and a leg and had to be back before 9pm the next night.... I dont know how it works.... So HE selected a couple of movies for HIMSELF and some chickflicks/comedy for me....

Got home around 9.30pm

Divided the takeaway for two between us two, a grey nomad and a bottomless pit of a fifteen year old who was STARVING...

Settle down to watch the movies....



He puts on "Cane Toads" picked up from the comedy section.... Doesnt know what it is, but thought it sounded funny...


VERY Funny.... Its a frickin documentary about the Cane Toad invasion of Australia... How they were introduced, what people think, how a bloke stuffed them and made them into a fairground attraction, how people kill them and how some one got killed trying to kill them.

I kid you not... HE thinks a good film for a romantic snuggle up is a documentary on Frickin Cane Toads????

I feel the subtext of this " hilarious" movie is "Eddie, our marriage is in serious trouble"

HE fell asleep before it finished.

Anyone else wasted an hour and a half of their lives, which they will NEVER get back watching this one? Did watching this film get you in the mood? Is HE trying to tell me something?

Cane toads?

Mr PP toodles off to the video store and nearly always comes back with a war movie, or an alien movie or a sci fi movie. If I say I want to see something, he will try and get it for me but more often than not its stuff he would watch and he says 'I couldnt find anything for you'.

So that is a night in front of my portable DVD player watching Peter Kay then.

Men - what can we say about them.....
