Red face tax

Dear All,

I hope this finds everyone well.

Trying to wirk out a basic rough tax guide to Australia. I am in the process of registering my nursing qualifications for moving to australia. I am aware of current nurses salaries in my speciality and rental prices for houses. However i am trying to work out how much tax i would be charged and general cost of living for the melbourne region.

Trying to have a general idea of what standard of living i can expect.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

regards,

nirrade.

Go to www.ato.gov.au and look under the Personal section for tax calculators. You can Google for cost of living estimates but take each with a pinch of salt You could ask some specific questions on the Aus Lifestyle forum and maybe get some sensible replies.
