No one tends to post that information on here - a chap who posts as "Bruahy" on 'trip advisor' tends to post very regular updates.

Hold your nose and stick your fingers in your ears - ICICI offering 102.75 today. That suggests an actual mid-rate near to 104 - - and nobody minding the shop!

If you look at this you can track all foreign exchange rates.

Generally if you take off around 1.25% of the higher trading price that would be what most exchanges would give you

Crikey, just looked at the rates, was 50> 1 when last in Goa!

Unfortunately you do NOT get twice the value at tourist places e.g a large beer on the beach can vary between 80 & 120 rs these days and as far as taxis - forget them

Rates slightly on the decline for the last few days - part of the international pre-election speculation.
fwiw the first time I came to India the Rupee had moved from its historical parity with the shilling following Harold Wilson's 'pound in your pocket' devaluation - we got about 16.5 to the pound!
