As you'll see, I've merged your two threads
You need to register the children as Australian, and get them passports, then they only get incuded on your form as your dependents, NOT as visa applicants. The only one needing a visa is you
http://www.uk.embassy.gov.au/lhlh/immi_citz.html is where to start for the children
And after a few years you can also be a dual citizen like them

See the answer I just posted. They can get Aussie passports, then they have to enter and leave Australia using those - UK doesn't insist on having UK passports used for entry/exit but Australia does.
They are entitled to hold both passports, and its easier to keep both in date and current than to let one expire and have to renew it. They then have full residential and working rights in both countries

Hi Pollyanna,
Thanks for the info. That seems pretty simple, so just got to sort the kids out with an Aussie Passport each, and then good to go. Apart from the paperwork for myself being the awkward Dad!!! Haha
Thanks again for the help, your a fountain of knowledge. Really appreciate it.

Keep asking the questions when you get stuck on anything, though Spouse Visas are fairly straightforward, its just the waiting that kills you....oh for the old days when a Spouse Visa could be granted in 40 minutes over the counter
One thing that just came to mind - when entering Aus with your Aussie family, you can go through the 'Australian passports' queue with them as you are all travelling together. So you do get that bonus even before you become a citizen yourself

Before your wife leaves UK, be sure to get her UK citizenship! You may not think you will need it but there may come a day when you want to return and getting a non EU spouse into UK these days is getting rather tricky! If she can apply for citizenship then get it ASAP!
