Or if the friend's company has a branch in the UK, that could hire the OP (or her husband) into a management or specialist role. Then after a year they could transfer the OP and her family over on L1/L2 visas. ..... But we have long since strayed off into the realms of theoretical flights of fancy, and are no longer giving advice that is likely of any practical use to the OP.
