18years. citizen by descent. chances of a first British passport or right of abode.
Dear Sir/Ma, I am Benedict Y.(18), Nigerian citizen. My dad Mr. E. Y. is a British citizen(born in Britain). Please Sir/Ma, what are my chances now of applying for a British passport or Right of Abode ? As I would love to further my studies in Britain. Please Sir/Ma, it will be to my utmost pleasure if you can also link me up to a counsellor/guide that can help me with procedures regarding to this. Thank you

Hello Benedict,
Providing your father and mother were married at the time of your birth or married at some point after you were born then it sounds like you are already a British citizen. You just need to apply for your British passport. If you are in Nigeria then you need to apply to the British High Commission in Lagos. All the information you need can be found at the link below.
