L2 renewal
does an L2 renewal need to be applied for at an embassy abroad -in particular London or can it be done somewhere closer ?
my wife doesnt want to have to travel back to London just for a stamp but i think she has to

There are procedures for "TCN" applications at the border consulates. However, there are considerations in doing that. You do not give enough in the way of facts on your particular situation to discuss it. A legal consultation may be in order.

Email the Embassy in the Bahamas, they won't do initial applications but they do renewals and see if they will accept you. I got a response within 24 hours. Otherwise Toronto is a good bet.

My friends from London renewed their L1 and L2 visas in Ottawa 2 weeks ago.

just means that if you want to travel outside of the U.S you must get your stamp at the embassy before going back into the U.S
