My UK FB people are pretty good about the weather and life. The idea of eating icecream on the south coast when it's 16 degrees sounds horrific now but I used to do it.

I'm not sure why they would be in winter coats, looking at the weather in London it is a few degrees higher than here and I'm not saying it is particularly warm but certainly not cold.

I'm wearing my shorts today but mainly cos I've put on so much weight that my long trousers are too tight!

Maybe everyone feels heat and cold differently? If I were over there on holiday from here, I'd probably be in a jacket at least. If I'd lived there for a while and it was soon after a really chilly time of year, like Winter, I may be jacketless.

Well they are Chris, winter coats. Would you like me to post a photograph? Not sure why people think I would make this up.

ETA: Here we go, swivelled around and took pics of a few people I saw out of window. Unfortunately can only load one from the iPhone, but plenty like this and it is a bit warmer today than it was at the weekend. Some people just in jackets today but not seen any without a jacket yet.

You need to remember that most of us live in a different universe to Chris

Abbey Road live webcam here: http://www.abbeyroad.com/Crossing. For those who want an independent view of what people are wearing in London right now.

Plenty of people are well rugged-up in coats, jackets and scarves and not a pair of shorts in sight

The driving is appalling! I thought everyone was always telling me how superior the UK driving was compared to Aus and how I'm nuts to believe (around my way anyway) it's the opposite. Definitely no shorts though.

Looks like a nice mild spring day there right now. Thanks for sharing.

I only looked for a couple minutes but cars were stopping for the pedestrians. I really couldnt give a toss whether anyone is wearing shorts, why does it bother some people so much? I said that I am wearing shorts and I will wear shorts up until November.
