If prices keep going up then we will all have to have a whip round to pay for our tickets. I just gave some airmiles to a friend who is flying down from Mumbai and you wouldnt believe the problems of doing that..even free flights arent free!

I was going to use Airmiles for my last trip back from the UK.
It was still going to cost me over £200 for taxes and fuel surcharge.

Checked out prices for a 1 way Goa -London today and down to 19,805 rs.
£230.

I`ll never book a return as want the 46kg allowance coming back to Goa and 1 doesn`t get that if booking a return from India!
Plus 1 never knows how long vfs will take to process visas!
Have checked out using Air miles for return trip!
32000 air miles for the trip .....plus £250 to cover taxes , fuel surcharges , departure taxes etc etc etc.So 32,000 air miles is worth £120.
I`m good at maths .....jet are selling Air miles at 1.25 rs a mile and a bonus at present!!
if my maths are correct 32.000 at 1.25 even without bonus works out at 40,000rs ....current exchage rate in excess of £450!!!!!
The flight at current prices is £370 !

They really are taking the "p***" arent they.

I`m begining to think that Air miles are a lure. Its taken me 3 years and a lot of travelling to amass close to 50,000 miles and their telling me 32000 miles is worth £120!

Not a happy jet flyer!!
