The comparisons will horrify you.Remember it was the middle classes that elected Hitler and it was the middle classes who elected Modi in Gujarat. During the riots most of the looting in Gujarat was done by people with cars.The only people who have cars in India are middle class. Muslims are seen as a hindrance to development, whats Modi going to do with them ? Concentrate them in camps ?

So was Germany too. Remember the emergency under Indira ? That was bad enough, but imagine if the Muslims started to demonstrate against Modi`s policies and he suspended the constitution ? Its happened before and history has a habit of repeating itself....I do not trust the man full stop. He is a master of the big lie and i predict that India will not prosper under him.Rather the reverse. I cannot see Bengal or Tamil Nadu tolerating an openly RSS based policy based on Hindutva , nor come to that Kerala too. He will split India in half because of what he represents. Indias democracy is very delicate at the best of times. They have only been a nation for 67 years. Not long enough in historical terms.

Seriously there are 28 States of India, they are not all going to support Modi, and Congress propaganda has tried to stir up as much division as possible.
On TV yesterday a Congress politician was calling a Muslim BJP member "A token" and would not let him speak---just one sample.

Whatever happens, if BJP fail in this opportunity, they will never be elected again.

I am in total agreement with your implied criticism of the perpetrators of the Sikh riots. A common thread running through both, the Sikh riots and the Gujarat one, is that the baying, murderous mob was essentially the cowardly Hindus displaying their hatred of non Hindus.
If Modi's forthcoming government is keen on righting wrongs in the country, then perhaps he will hold referenda in Punjab, Kashmir, Chhattisgarh, Nagaland, Tamil Nadu and, for good measure, also in Goa. We will then see how many of the various states in this country wish to remain in this paradise called India.

No...we have no voice, no representation through our consular staff, no vote, so whatever happens we are just onlookers.
