Best book for DIY in Canada?
Hello,
Any thoughts on decent books explaining plumbing and electrics for DIY's in Canada. Differences in pipe fittings and wire colours, etc.
I would also like to know what I am able to do under the Canadian version of building regs, etc.
I've renovated my own property in the UK and would like to do the same in Canada. Thank you!

Home Depot have a series of "how to" DIY books. Maybe a bit basic for what you want but I find them very useful. Not much about building codes though.

HGTV: I can now build killer decks, repair botched home inspections, transform basements into income suites.
It's all you need.

You can also get some pretty good reading material from either Home Depot, Rona or have a browse through any Chapters store....tons of material to choose from.
