Possible because this forum is used by people all over the world, and doesn't concentrate only on a single area.

Mikelinics, Of course you are correct.

I continue my search for country-specific forums (Sri Lanka, Nepal, etc). Tauwan has a very good one. For me the key is that the forum has substantial participants. When I worked in Sai Gon in 2091 there were two relatively uncensored Vietnam forums. Both have disappeared.

Another reason could be that Thailand is perhaps the favourite expat destination (although not for me).

This forum has the advantage that participants may have experience living in multiple Asian nations.

A time-travelling expat? What is the World like in 2091, I wonder?

Hehe . Do you know.....me and Mr bakedbean got our passports wrongly stamped at the Thai/Malaysian border one time. It was forward in time. We didn't notice. Then when we went to fly out of Penang to Singapore some months later, the Immigration guy noticed that we were leaving before we had arrived . He thought it was really funny. Great sense of humour Malaysians.

Luckily it was fast forward instead of back. You may be charged for overstaying

Hermespan is right. A great forum is made of people contributing regularly.
