No ... no one can help you
If you are a resident in Spain then you shouldnt be driving a UK registered car, you should change it onto Spanish plates and get an ITV done on it

Read the various threads on it by using search

I would like to add a legal way of helping;

A NON_RESIDENT can drive it back to the UK legally - do an MOT, and then return - a cheap holiday for the "helper" and for the (rich) owner, so long as he is not in Spain for too many days, an answer

That could be sailing close to the wind, if you take a car out of the UK for more than one year you have to export it and it is technically in cyberspace til it is imported into Spain. HERE

Unfortunately when you ask a question about MOT here it is automatically assumed you are trying to get round the law. Its like a red rag to a bull. It depends entirely upon the circumstances, which entails the vehicle going back to UK for the test annually and the owner living here for less than 6 months. Like they say read all the available info. When in doubt talk to the DVLA and dont rely on others interpretations.

That`s why I included the DVLA link about the export.
Also Spain only allows 3 months before you have to apply for a residencia certificate and then matriculate your UK vehicles.

I just noticed the OP lives in Portugal

The other, their posts give the impression they live in Portugal.
If the car has been left here in Europe, whether it be Spain or Portugal then it should been permanently exported from the UK .... popping back to the UK for an MOT every year doesnt mean its still a UK car .

If the owner is living as a resident in Spain, or Portugal for that matter, then he MUST matriculate it, the above is not an option in that case. Much better than having it impounded or crushed for being illegal.

As has been said "You need all the facts before offering advice etc". I for one do not know the laws of Portugal - they may be the same as Spain. The owner may only holiday in Portugal, being resident elsewhere.

I am one of the 30% of males who are partially colour blind but can still distinguish the difference between red and green even when they merge from colours into greys.

Since this is now the boring fact thread, the red cape used by bull fighters was coloured red to save the pride of the bullfighter in case he is injured and the blood showed up, thus alerting the audience to his inability to "fight" the bull.
