"Real Madrid have unveiled plans to build a $1billion holiday resort"

Thats a lot of change; can they even recoup it? and we are talking Ras Al Khaimah here.

"A presentation at the Bernabeu showed plans for sports facilities, a marina, luxury hotels and villas, an amusement park, a club museum and a futuristic 10,000-seat stadium with one side open to the sea. "

Marina, luxury hotels and villas......isn't that pretty much common elsewhere in Dubai and Abi Dhabi, why are people going to skip Dubai & AD and go to RAK?

I kind of like RAK the way it is. OK only visit a few times a year but its a breath of fresh air compared with DXB.

Been to RAK a few times. Nice place, Hamra is a half decent golf course made better because it's empty. BUT.... it is just full of Germans and Russians.....then they bus the bastards to Emaar Boulevard and make every car wait whilst thousands off them waddle across the road into the mall.
