Hello British Expats

I am a Barbadian citizen by birth,
Me and my wife plan to emigrate to Barbados in the summer is there a problem with her living there, as she was born in st kitts ?

If so what restrictions are there ?

Hi Lesley.. Welcome to the forum

If you have rights to live in Barbados then so does she... the rights are actually to work that get called into question. However as she is married to a Bajan then she can apply for her citizenship by marriage and whilst waiting for the interview (7 years is what most people are saying) she would be issued with a work and reside permit ....however depending on her education status (degrees etc) she may qualify for work under the Caricom legislation ( similar to the European working agreements)...this is the info as far as i know so if i have any of this wrong im sure someone will correct me
