Baby ID on domestic travel
Hi
Anyone know if an infant flying domestically needs to have ID? I'm trying to avoid taking passports on our Melb-Sydney trip but obviously the little one (9 months) doesn't have a driving license to use like we do
Thanks

I have never seen ID being checked on domestic flights and I take two a week generally,

yeah i've never been asked for IDs on domestic flights. sometimes they dont even check for boarding pass until you actually board.
and you can hand-carry a big bottle of water, the liquid rules are not in force.

When I travel domestic (and haven't checked in from the phone) I just go to check in and give them my name and flight numer, never been asked for ID over here domestically

and sometimes you can be fashionably late with a pre-printed boarding pass and carryon luggage only.

Agree about the ID, I've never been asked to show it for domestic flights so I think a bub would be fine.

I have once been asked for Medicare card. This showed our daughters name and was all that was needed for the flight. This was about 4 years ago and have never been asked since x

I have only been asked for ID when my son was close to 2 years old and his travel was free.
