Re: ENS Visa (121/856) Current Timescales (Part 2.....)
OUT OF THE BLUE MOON I JUST GOT A RANDOM E MAIL FROM IMMI AS FOLLOWS-
Please note that current processing times for ENS/RSMS or LA nominations is
10 - 12 weeks.
And the service standards for processing ENS/ RSMS visas are:
5 months for ETA eligible passport holders; and
7 months for non-ETA eligible passport holders.
However, in practice, the processing officer will seek to finalise the
application as soon as practical. Lodging complete applications will
enable more prompt finalisation of assessment and decision.

Return Resident VIsa
Who is this visa for?
This visa is for you if the travel validity period of your permanent visa has expired or is about to expire.

Can you please explain to me what is this?
I have read the immi link on this visa, but don't understand why you need this? Is not ENS 856 enough for you to travel in/out of AU?

Re: ENS Visa (121/856) Current Timescales (Part 2.....)
The travel component of the ENS 856 is only valid for 5 years. It's only an issue if you're going to go overseas after that 5 year period, in which case you need to get a Return Residents Visa (unless you've got your Citizenship, as you'd then be travelling in and out of the country on your Australian passport)

If this is the case then Adrian, you don't need other visa at the moment to be travel in/out the country, but 5 years later.

over 7 months now, CO hasn't replied to my e-mail. Nobody from DIAC contacted me nor my MA. Still no idea what's going on.
