Holiday
Dear All,
Well we finally made it here to Burlington, ON - The kids (ages 5 and 7) and I landed 2 weeks ago following on after OH who came over in Feb.
It's going to be a shock to the system having the boys off for 9 weeks summer holiday - especially as I haven't really met anyone for the boys to catch up with yet. So... I'd like to book a Canadian style vacation. Possibly camping or a cabin near a lake but open to suggestions.
When I've looked on the site most holiday / vacation links are people wanted to do a recce trip - we're already here
I would really appreciate if anyone could make a recommendation for somewhere to visit or link me to another discussion.
We'd love somewhere family friendly, activites that we could do as a family (maybe hire a canoe) less than 5 hours drive (boys can't cope longer than that) and def no more than $2000.
Many thanks
B x

Checkout Killbear Provincial Park. It's a good drive but well worth it when there. The kids will love it.

And if the kids piss you off you have the option of sending them to summer school

My girlfriends grandparents have a cottage up on 4 Mile Lake and it is stunning around there. Check that out to. I love going for summers up there.

Do they need advanced warning of visitors or are we ok to just turn up? We'll obviously bring our own food but might need milk for the first day.
My kids are very excited. Do they have a pontoon or a boat we can use?
