Default Current advice on paystubs in i864 pack

Hello,
I found this
http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=758667

Jeffrey states that Pay stubs are optional to send, especially if the employer has not changed since the tax return.

Is this advice still current?

Thanks.

I'm taking 3 paystubs with me. If they're not needed then fine, but I'd rather be over-prepared than under.

I take it you filed to Chicago so are submitting your evidence to the NVC? If it was me, I'd still send them, it can't hurt can it?

I've been wondering the same about JEff. He has not answered my email inquiry either. :-(

Thanks Rene! So people are NOT sending paystubs? (to be clear).

You are correct, filed in Chicago.
I find the idea of 'optional' requirements very confusing, either its needed or not!
I suspect I will send them as you suggest.

I don't know what other people are doing, but sending pay stubs is optional.

By the same token, the officer can say "approved"... or not! However, it's your job to help the officer say "yes", so if you include paystubs - even though they aren't required - it's one more thing to help the officer decide "yes".

It never ceases to amaze me how resistant people are to providing optional information that may, ultimately, tip the balance in their favor.

Then, there are others who are so over-prepared, taking piles of papers that I'm pretty sure will never be looked at...
