Re: WAPOL 2014 Results
Right, anyone started completing the psychological assessment, I have a question, now let's be honest if you are male the likelihood is you have viewed porn on he internet and have the odd flutter on a bet online, does this look bad, honesty I think is the best policy to be honest! Any other thoughts?

No. Fly out on the 7th. Seven shifts to go and no nights. All inter-dispersed with lots of socialising before I go!

Re: WAPOL 2014 Results
Hello, this is my first post and was wondering if anyone can help. My husband has been a PCSO in Britain for the last 5 years and has been continuing to try and become a police officer to no avail, I am just wondering if there are any international recruits still going on and whether or not he would qualify to apply.
Thank you in advance

The disappointing news is that there are no current international recruits open to new applicants, and those forces that do recruit internationally will be looking for serving police officers with a given amount of experience.

Hi and welcome.
Unfortunately this years international recruitment campaign by WAPol is now closed. Although they had run international recruitment for the past few years, there's no guarantee there will be one next year. If there is, they announce it at very short notice.
Another unfortunate is that they don't accept applications from PSCOs, only serving police officers from Home Office forces, generally with 3 - 10 years service.

All fine Slippery Pete!
Fitness oot our nuts here! Prepping as much as possible and just building up to the big day!
Do we know how many applied/ passed the written and how many they plan to take on?
Also, what's the deal with the info session, is it noted if you don't go, just flights / trains so expensive and already got to stay one night, another night would be another £200 quid! Anything they tell you at them that you would need to know that we wouldn't have seen / researched on here and other places?
Thanks x

How's everyone going? This thread seemed to die a death in August with no updates as to how everyone got on.
Been in Aus for a year now and absolutely love it.

It doesn't sound any different from previous years Lobsta. I applied in March 2013 and even as an Australian citizen, I went through the process in the UK and didn't start until March 2014. It'll all happen before you know it and you'll be here, so use the time you have there wisely and enjoy it.
