Im Kenyan living in the Uk. My canadian fiancee and i want to get marriage in the Uk but my visa here runs out soon and maybe expired during the process. How will this affect the process and can we still proceed? Thanks.

As this seems to be nothing to do with immigrating to Canada, but rather a question of getting married in the UK, I will move it to the MBTTUK forum where hopefully some kind person may be able to help.

If I've misunderstood your question and you are asking about visas/immigration to Canada, let me know and we'll move it back.

If your visa expires than you have no right to remain in the UK. Therefore you will not be granted the necessary visa(s) for marriage purposes.

Why not get your Canadian fiancee to sponsor you for immigration to Canada via marriage?

Thanks but it is to do with immigrating to canada where we hope to settle once married. We want to hold our ceremony in the Uk thou thus my question.

Thank you he will sponsor me but we had hoped we could have our ceremony in the Uk.
