Default help needed!!

I am working abroad in another country (not in my nationality country). My problem is that, my work visa is issued by company A whereas I am working in company B. It leads to a conflict of information b/w my passport and work experience letter. Passport will show work visa stamp of company A, whereas work experience letter will be on company B's letter head.

What should I do in this scenario? Shall I send my docs to ACS and DIMIA or not?

Please advise.

thanks a lot.

Hi Peace,

So you're effectively working illegally in the visa country? Obviously there are risks in that situation, however you won't initially be asked for the visa stamp by ACS or DIAC, just the id page of the passport. Should DIAC request all imprinted pages of the passport, you'd just need to give a full explanation. The mistake would be to try to conceal the situation in case it later came out through their independent checking.

Cheers,

George Lombard

Hi George,

I don't know whether it is illegal? Actually, it happened like this: Company A hired me and issued me work visa. Later i started working for company B on same visa. However, company B is a sister company of A.
