Question 12 weeks since submitted

Its been 12 weeks since we submitted our application for permanent residency (12/7/05)
I completed it myself ,and it took weeks all the correct information was there, I checked it at least 15 times before I sent it.
I have received nothing yet from the London immirgration offices.
I sent the application by special delivery and it was received the following day.
The bankers draft in CDN$ has been cashed too (18/8/05)
Checked on both!!

Im getting worried as I have not yet received a file number or the reciept letter.

Is anyone else still waiting and am I worring over nothing??

Please let me know

It is much too early to worry. You know your application was received and the fee check was cashed. The process is not a quick one as their acknowledgement letter will advise when you finally receive it.

I know that the whole process is usually 18 - 24 months +.
But I thought that the letter of acknowledgement came within 12 weeks

Summer slows things down with other types of cases.

Relax my friends

Do not get uptight at this very very early stage
I was the same as you and ended up taking up bird watching and train spotting rather than watching E Client all the time
My AOR took about 9 weeks and I was the same, demented, climbing the wall waiting / hoping that all was well with application.

Do not get stressed out about it, it will happen when it happens

Eddie
