Re: Shower V Bath
We should have some clarification as to posters current location and statenof immigration before reading these answers!!!
Hated showers in the UK... Could spend HOURS in a hot deep bath, just topping it up with more hot... World war three could break out over some one else using all the hot water, which is why we got an instant gas system... Only heated what we used, and I used a LOT..
Since moving to australia its become showers... a short burst twice a day.....All the way... But I do wet up, switch off, lather up then rince off....
..only exception is on the up side of influenza... A bath makes you feel better when you are on the mend...
In fact nowadays I run a nice bath, treat myself to a bath bomb from Lush and 3 minutes into it am wondering what to do next, so get out....

Shower everyday and sometimes 2 or 3 times depending on weather and what I have been doing
Hate baths but do soak in Epsom Salts about twice a week for 30 minutes or so which I find the most boring things to do.

Never managed that since moving to Australia... Seen the size of the baths here?
Actually when we went down to Albany for the weekend there was a huge corner spa bath... So I lie...

What's the point of the little baths in Oz? Are they solely for kids? I do have a bath in ours but it's a knees over the shoulders kind of affair...and I'm in there alone so it's not even fun!!

We had a lovely claw foot deep tub in Queensland, but I would feel so guilty about filling it with the water restrictions (that were there when we first moved to Queensland!) that I never really got the benefit of it.
Here, it's not quite as small as the one in the UK but it's still too tiny. (Admittedly, it doesn't stop me spending an hour+ in there.. the lack of an overflow can be troubling when you keep topping up with hot water but I find sloshing it onto the floor remarkably effective)
When we finally get around to doing the bathroom I will be having a much bigger tub and spend hours in it with no remorse.

Well, in the spirit of experimentaion I ran a nice hot deep bath, bunged half a lush Puddy Holly bomb in it and timed meself.... Managed 11 minutes... Before HAVING to get out ....
gorgeous makes up for my water saving by spending half an hour under the shower at a time... You can tell when there's a new girl on the scene.. Then it can extend to 3/4 hour... And thats water running time, not including preening in front of the mirror time...

I shower at least once a day. Twice if it's been hot or I'm covered in suncream. We do have a bath, but it's occupied by a pink octopus, the alphabet, a watering can, bucket and spade, empty shampoo bottles (2) and a set of musical water flutes. Occasionally, two small children are to be found in there, too. So I tend not to bother with it.

Eldest does that... gets out and he still hasn't used either soap or shampoo. I really don't want to think about what he IS doing.

I'm limited to showers on the boat so I jump at the chance of a long foam filled hot bath with a glass of champagne and classical music on the iPod.
I like cold showers as they are refreshing in the heat and make you gasp. When we're anchored out alone at sea showers on the back of the boat as the sun sets are rather lovely.
