Default French product name for limescale remover

We have been trying to find a product in Brico or the supermarkets for removing water marks from a work surface? We have extremely hard water and have a "rubbish" Castorama work surface, and it leaves awful marks. What products are available in France for this, and what do I need to be looking out for on the bottle? Iknow there are limescale removers for sinks etc, but this needs to be something I can use on a work surface. I know Brico do loads of products in one section, which just about covers most things, but just cannot makeout limescale remover for work surfacesor sinks?? It isn't granite, just Casto cr@p!!!

I'd try mixing in a cup, a 50/50% solution of white vinegar (vinaigre d'alcool) and bicarbonate of soda ( bicarbonate de soude), and leave for a short time.
(Do a test on a small area underneath the work surface first, to see that the material won't be adversly affected).

Viagra works very well - give one or two to hubby but then tell him that FIRST he has to get those marks off your work top! Works every time.

But make sure you don't give it to him with his cup of Horlicks late in the evening. He'll be up all night.....

Oh, and make sure it's not the generic form of Viagra. (Don't click the spoiler tab if easily offended).
Spoiler:
It contains Mycoxaflopin

LOL, thank you. Have tried the vinegar, rien!!

"BANG and the dirt is gone"! Well lets see shall we? Good old Barry Scott...lets see if his products are as irritating as he is
Will report back. I was assuming one of those shelves upon shelves of Nettoyage products we have in our local Brico may have done the job....but will give Barry a go first then maybe??

Try Bar keepers friend.
Not a French product but you can perhaps get someone to send it to you from the UK.
You can probably get info online but it seems to be for most household surfaces.

this was the best one I found. You can buy it in diy stores, leroy merlin was my local place for buying it. Works a treat.....test it first!

Petitefrancaise- thanks, this was more what i was looking for. I have a similar product for stratifier which works well. I think I may have seen this in Brico. Also like BANG,is easy to get hold of! I have been trying (on another topic) to buy some Autoglym engine cleaner for cleaning oil stains on our tarmac driveway and have failed miserably. Once again DHL decide that our delivery is not worthy, and return it back to sender! Even more irritating when they don't even call to see you if you are in....they just don't deliver it at all! Where do they get off when it comes to ruling whether or not they can be bothered to deliver my personal goods. What's more I cannot seem to buy this product anywhere in France. I now check before ordering and have now boycotted every company that uses DHL! Trashy company!

Is that DHL England or UK deciding that I wonder.
I can imagine both sides of the Channel playing that game when it comes to delivering to France.
And yet - DHL to and from China - no probs

strange but true, and I have never aid tax on import either way. Whereas I have for the good ol USA

I can never understand why some companies do not offer a tracking service with their product delivery either, especially knowing how bad these courrier services are! The number of items I have had returned and refunded is ridiculous! Who is actually monitoring these clowns? The service offered by these companies is so horrendous, they cannot keep getting away with failed deliveries. I never see any compensation for these failed deliveries, and have no option but to go without alot of items. Around 99% of these do not even try and call before delivery, they just do not even bother to find the house/village!

UPS offer the best service here I can usually set my watch by the punctuality of when our UPS driver turns up. Although now we are in a village Chronopost is proving to be pretty reliable.

Hmmmm. UPS drove by our place and because I didn't answer the phone within a millisecond he drove on. I called him back and he said he would not be coming back and I had to meet him in the next town outside the post office
I questioned his reliability and the fact he doesn't give people a chance to answer the phone and he said "well if you had to deliver this lot, you wouldn't stop either"!
