There wasn't any given - hence my comment about lack of motivation. It really could have used a part 3 to flesh that out a bit.

If1, did you see The Little House yet? Best MIL from hell I've seen in a while

Yes, wouldn't want her as a MIL. I love Francesa Annis. I first saw her in Reckless with Michael Kitchen and that is when I fell in love with him. She is beautiful. Your MIL comment reminded me of a show I saw ages ago (80/90's) Mother Love with Diana Rigg and David McCallum. If you haven't seen it I still think it would be worth seeing today.

Oh-oh. I've just signed on to 4od (used my email, rellie's postal code and address) and discovered oodles more TV programs to watch. Oh well, like others have recently said, I watch programs on an external monitor while I work on my computer, and I'm getting old so don't really have a life LOL.

Highly recommend "Kevin McCleod's Man Made House". Not only is it interesting as they build an off-grid bolthole in Somerset, but it's hilarious. They are having so much fun in the process. I would really love to live like that. It's a breath of uniqueness (which I have been craving after too many episodes of "Homes under the hammer" with magnolia paint and ugly rough-looking brown carpet).

Dw has been watching "The Grand". I think there are 18 episodes. We get it through Netflicks and Apple TV.

Cheers

It's BBC Channel 4 on demand. Lots of great shows. I'm watching the catch-up section which is their version of iplayer.

Don't think BBC would like to be lumped in with Ch4, nothing to do with each other, but yes, there are programmes like iplayeer for all the major channels, Ch5 is just called 'Ch5 demand'.

I watched a program today that really shows how money does talk. If you can find it in the UK its called "You've Been Trumped". It a documentary about Donald Trump wanting to build a golf course on some prestine Sand Dunes outside of Aberdeen. I could not believe how corrupt people become when money comes into the picture.

The end to the story is that Donald got his way and was able to build his golf course but he was waiting for the Scottish Government to change their minds regarding a Wind Farm to be built off the coast and in plain view of the golf course. He said if he lost the case he would not build the hotel, he lost the case and set his sights on Ireland. That one man could do what he did and get away with it astonished me. Well not really I think money is ruining many parts of the World. Down South its the rich buying up homes in villages and just renting them out in the Summer and having them empty in the Winter. I saw a program on that. I really should stop watching these documentaries they raise my blood pressure......

Sounds like a documentary that was aired here in Scotland a couple of years ago. Until they had a falling out Slippery Salmond was as much a part of the wheeling and dealing as the Donald, IIRC.

Did you see on last nights Brian Williams NBC Nightly News that the American middle class is being displaced as the best in the world for standard of living. They mentioned Canada as one.

Dunroving....It only had a few residents who actually live in the Dune area who were highlighten, they never wanted to sell they had lived for generations in their homes. What I did not understand was the enviromental agencies were against it as they said they were ruining the natural dunes and replacing them with man made dunes, plus the Police were very brutal I could not believe the force they used to try and stop the film being made. I just wanted to wipe the smile off Trumps face and how he spoke about a group of people he knew nothing about calling them really awful names.....
If anyone else had changed maps and altered the plans without permission after having them passed they would not have got away with it.

I think the Bagpipes and men in kilts are being vastly over used by many people. I just thought it was laughable to see Trump being piped into ceremonies....

Like you say there are other sides to this story but I just didnt like the way he went about bullying people. I am not in favour of eminent domain...Its an easy way of land grabbing.....

Cheers..I am not suprised we are ending up paying out more and more money and getting less and less for it.

My brother in England who is in hospital just had one of his pensions taken away from him because he has been in hospital for 4 weeks, so now the money goes to the Government. If you do not report it you get fined. The pension was a disability pension he got because he hurt his back while in the Police. I wish people in the US would understand that people in the UK do not get everything thrown at them for free. My brothers family are having to pay to have an independant evalualution of his condition... its costing 1000pounds.
