St.Lucian offering advice on St.Lucia
Hi!
Are you thinking about travelling to St. Lucia?
I live and work in St. Lucia, and know the island quite well. It's
really a beautiful place with an amazing natural landscape, rich
culture and history, secluded beaches, watersports, nightlife,
festivals - a little bit of everything. I'd encourage anyone to come
and visit. It may be one of the more expensive islands, but it's
definately worth it. And you can save a lot by making your own travel
arrangements and staying in one of the many guesthouses, inns and
cottages.
If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them! (you can also
send me an email).

Re: St.Lucian offering advice on St.Lucia
Hi,
My wife and I are planning a trip to St. Lucia this year (within last two
weeks of December). Do you have any advice as to when to book flights and
hotels for lowest possible prices this time of the year? It seems in many
places, prices are higher if you book too far in advance and lower when you
come within 2-3 months of your travel dates. But I realize this is very
busy time of the year for places like St. Lucia.
Thanks,
Todd

Re: St.Lucian offering advice on St.Lucia
I usually book with our local Liberty Travel agent (we don't have a lot of
choices in my area) and they do very well. I always take insurance on a
package and if there are any rate reductions, I get them automatically; so
it doesn't matter how far in advance I book. Example...last year we booked
a trip to Secrets in Punta Cana in late January. Three weeks before our
trip in June, we got a refund of approximately $300.
