Why are people saying varicella is not available in the UK? Last year I was instructed by the travel nurse to go to boots and order it in. They then administered it for me. Must not be seen as too important as the reason not to have it.

I am not sure why it says it but the list of vaccinations required states Varicella is not available in the UK.
If you don't mind me asking, did you have chickenpox as a child? It is my understanding that if you have had it before you are now immuned. So whats the need for a booster?

If it was widely available, you wouldn't have needed to order it. It's not a required vaccination if you're from the UK, for precisely that reason.
