I don't know why it surprises me that you are left handed. As I said before as an academic (and not just a normal one - one that does - physiochemistrbollocks) I would have taken you to be a righty.

Maybe there isn't any truth in the left/right thing.

Just to make the graduate student more mind-boggling he would often write German with one hand and the same stuff in English with the other.

As to being an academic, I'll have you know that left handed academics earn on average 20% more than right handed ones. I'm told.

Are you sure about this? I find it extremely difficult to smoke left-handed or indeed, do much at all left-handed. This can be annoying because my left arm is stronger than my right arm. My only foray into the sinister world is wearing my watch on the wrong wrist, which does involve some input from my left hand.

Right-handed individuals who are left-handed smokers have a good social circle and are well-liked.
