Ugh, really trying to anticipate and avoid that 'crash' so I don't end up sniffling in the bathroom when we tune into the carol services back home or catch a whiff of Raymond Brigs 'Snowman' song with Aled Jones! I feel for you...being 'left behind' by family is just as bad as leaving. We must all be strong, stiff upper lip and all that lol!

We'll be back in Scotland for 6 weeks to spend Christmas with the family, with the added bonus of seeing my niece's new baby this year. We'll also spend some time in Derby and London. Can't wait!

I'm looking forward to fun nights out with friends, Christmas markets, waking up to snowy mornings, the Christmas Eve church service, and of course lots and lots of shopping! My 17yo daughter has already been looking at the UK clothing websites and has a list as long as your arm of what she's going to buy! She says the fashions (and prices) there are much better than here in Perth.

Roll on 24th November........

We went to the Birmingham Christmas markets last year and they were brill, we have also heard that Lincoln and Bury St.Edmunds are good as are the Edinburgh markets. Have a great time and your daughter should hit the sales and shes right the clothes and styles are great and the choices..well after Perth I felt overwhelmed...and underdressed when I first arrived home lol...Boxing Day is VERY busy though in the shops....a day to do other things instead....

I am soooooo looking forward to them coming. I am glad to see that you appear to be settling well back into the UK after your time in Oz. I remember your posts from a while back and 'chatting' about staying or going. We're still all over the place - should we stay / go. I would have thought that after five years I would be more happier here....I know we'll make the decision when we're all ready....

Happy Christmas whatever or wherever you are x x x x x

Heading back to London town for Christmas and I can't wait! Managed to get nearly 3 weeks off so should be good. It just never feels the same celebrating Christmas when I am not with all the fam. Mum making the extra fuss over dinner, dad trying to get all the special pics in, my brothers normally making a fuss over a new game (guessing this year might be a game on the Nintendo Wii) Christmas lights, other family trickling in and out to say Merry Christmas and share extra gifts and fun... roll on December! Last year we had a quiet celebration in Canada so exciting to be heading back this year.
