Hi Everyone! Newbie here and completely over-excited and impatient now that I have filed my I-130. Its really nice to read the timelines of other people on here and how they are coming along. My heart literally aches with pain everytime I read the London Embassy's notice of it taking about 10 MONTHS for the applications to be processed now I really hope they are over-exagerrating. Anyway- I also have posted in my I-130 petition (Im the USC) on July 19th by Special Delivery. I have the receipt stapled to my wall. Im going to write a timeline in my signature space below. So far though NUTHIN. I even checked my bank account to see if they took the money yet haha, but I take it Im being a tad presumptuous..

Quick question for those of you who have filed recently. Should we expect to receive an email confirmation of the filing soon after the documents are received by the Embassy and does this usually come via email?

Just curious as I've yet to get an email and it's been over a week now. I'm hoping it didn't go to my spam folder or anything.

We filed in January, and never received an email or anything through the post. They did however take the money a week afterwards. Our I-130 was approved in the beginning of June. I had my medical a week ago today, and currently awaiting an interview appointment.

Great - thanks for the prompt reply! We did have our money withdrawn so I of course take that as a sign that all is in their hands, but wasn't sure if we'd hear anything officially.

We sent ours on Feb 3rd and received an email on Feb 11th saying it was filed on Feb 8th.

The filing is an I-130 petition or a visa application? Confirmation of receipt of the petition will come from USCIS, not the embassy.

When I moved to the UK I literally jumped on plane with 2 suitcases and that was it! Now we're doing a full house move plus 2 cats! Though, after reading what others have written, cats are easier than trying to get visa for a spouse AND children! Good luck to everyone!!

Interview booked for August 10th @ 8am! I am so excited! Now I just get to be stressed about actually getting the visa approved

quick question! we got our I-130 approval letter on Saturday and its says we'll receive the case number within three weeks.

Do we have to wait until we get the letter with the case number before we book the medical? It doesnt say on the form, which is very uninformative!

You need the case number to book your medical. You can email uscis.london@dhs.gov

They might be able to tell you your case number. Or you can call this number:09042-450-100

I know a few people who have called and were given it over the phone.

Congrats on your approval, when did you originally file, if you don't mind me asking, as we have recently filed also, i do know it will take a while but it is always good to know others timelines as it gives us an idea as to when we should be receiving some news etc

I filed on 9th Feb and had medical on 12th July also. You have given me hope that maybe, just maybe I will get my interview date close to yours.
